In comparisons between the different beef breeds for carcass qualities the results shows that the Limousin breed is the best of the beef breeds for this trait. In crossbreeding with diary breeds, there is no other beef breed that can come close to the carcass qualities that Limousin produce in this combination. The Limousins in Sweden are a well-muscled, mixed type and most of them have their origin from French Limousin but also some Canadian bloodlines have been used.
