VikingGenetics present in the 2017 Annual Meeting & Tour for Jersey in Costa Rica

The World Jersey Cattle Bureau is taking place in Central America this year. Jersey breeders from around the world gather in the 2017 Annual Meeting Tour, which is taking place in Costa Rica.

From Denmark, 18 farmers join the meeting and tours together with VikingJersey breeding manager, Peter Larson. “The interest in genetics from VikingGenetics is high all over the world as the dairy companies are focusing more and more on high components in the milk”, Larson commented from Costa Rica.
Our Export Manager for Latin America, Suvi Johansson is also attending the meeting. Costa Rica is one of the three countries in Latin America with self-sufficient milk production with a long tradition breeding Jersey cows, at different climate conditions all over the country.

“The VikingJersey is in a lead position all over the world. They are suitable outcross to other jersey populations”, Johansson states.

The VikingJerseys are well-known worldwide because of excellent production with high fat and protein, their excellent female fertility and good health with long-lasting cows.
