Head of Distributor Sales

Sales Management – Worldwide – Business Development

Would you like to make a difference for an international company that is a world leader in its industry? As Head of Distributor Sales, you will be part of an international sales manager group in an exciting company characterised by a value-based culture, as well as a high degree of orderliness and diversity. The sky is the limit, and decision-making processes are short, meaning that you will get the opportunity to develop things, initiate your own projects and have influence. You will also get the chance to experience other cultures and enjoy authentic cultural experiences.
You will be given an exciting key role in which you will report to the Chief Sales & Marketing Officer and will be responsible for the management and development of a sales team comprising 5 export sales representatives. Collaborating with your team, you will set the individual sales targets and KPIs and follow up on the sales representatives’ pipeline. You will also be responsible for developing and operating distributor sales globally, and you will thus build and maintain the strong relationships with the distributors by identifying and acquainting yourself with their needs, through which you will be able to offer the right quality solution. You will identify, qualify, and also follow up on potential market opportunities. Likewise, you will work with the distributors on optimising distribution channels on an ongoing basis.

To succeed in the job, you have several years’ experience in selling complex solutions and experience in selling to distributors. You also have experience in sales management in a multi-cultural company, and it is a significant advantage that you have a knowledge of cattle, possibly from a related industry, for example, the livestock fodder industry. It is also an advantage if you have a higher education qualification in the field of sales or marketing. You have experience with CRM systems and have mastered written and spoken English to a high standard.
Another prerequisite for success in the post is that you are a strong leader with a commercial mindset. You are motivating and inspirational and take the lead by setting a good example. You are characterised by integrity, professionalism, and a good understanding of business. Furthermore, you work in a quality-conscious, focused, and persistent manner. You are self-propelled, well-organised and result-oriented, and you possess great drive, a can-do attitude and assertiveness. You are capable of making decisions – even under pressure – and take ownership of your areas of responsibility. You have excellent communication and presentation skills and can operate at any level – both in informal and formal environments. You work in a solution-oriented manner and are proactive. You are also motivated by building up long-term customer relationships.

You can choose to work at any of our offices in Hollola (Finland), Skara (Sweden) or Randers (Denmark), but as it is an international position, it is also possible to work from your home office.
