VikingHolstein

This proof run brings many new bulls with diverse pedigrees to the VikingHolstein bull lineup, including more polled options and new daughter-proven sires. Nearly all new bulls are available sexed.

A real top-class Holstein bull that works in all systems: strong milk and solids, excellent health and longevity, beautiful udders and good feet & legs. Outstanding functional traits including milking speed and temperament.

An interesting outcross bull with smaller daughters showing good capacity and high production. Excellent fertility, health and calving traits, resulting in strong longevity (EBV 123).

VH Gipsy (Garfield x VH Raggat) received his first daughter proofs and jumped to NTM +32. VH Gipsy and his only son VH Gilmore (VH Gipsy x VH Funen) can be confidently recommended.

Times are changing, and our polled bulls' performance level keeps improving. Polled cows mean zero dehorning costs, better welfare, less labour, and better safety.

There are currently eight polled VikingHolstein bulls, including three homozygous polled (PP), meaning all their daughters will be born without horns, including:

VikingRed

VR Vesty continues to prove his strength with an impressive NTM +40. With more than 2,700 daughters now included in the proofs and the oldest daughters already in their 3rd lactation, VR Vesty delivers extremely reliable results you can trust. He is also leaving a strong legacy as the sire of VR Vinci P and the maternal grandsire of VR Athos and VR Flipper.

A bull with very high fat and protein proofs combined with good milk yield. Daughters show nice conformation and good milking speed.

A new daughter-proven polled bull with good production, excellent health and fertility – a true Viking profile. Average-sized daughters with outstanding feet & legs (F&L index 126, one of the highest).

VikingJersey

The VJ Splash sons VJ Sultan, VJ Swan and VJ Sedum continue to perform well. VJ Jabra and VJ Nicas are now daughter-proven, and both the bulls and their daughters look excellent.

New VikingJersey bulls in the lineup:

VJ Jukka (VJ Juke x VJ Higg) – gNTM +26
A high-production bull with strong milk and solids. Daughters show good udder health, general and hoof health, excellent fertility and strong udder ligament.

Production with high components combined with good functional and health traits. Excellent feet & legs and increased teat length make him very easy to use.
